Caregiver Support

Calm_Storm_logo-01.png

Most caregivers will admit that even with all the burdens and responsibilities of the job, caring for someone you love, someone close to you, is an incredibly meaningful experience.

Unfortunately, it’s easy to lose sight of all that meaningful stuff when your nerves are frayed, you haven’t slept, and there’s no one riding in on a white horse to give you a break.

I offer a safe space where a caregiver can let off steam, find needed services, problem solve, and receive some much needed acknowledgement of her hard work. If you’re a caregiver looking to build your confidence, or find greater meaning in the work you do, or just want to develop the essential skill of self-kindness, I’d love to work with you. Because the work of caregiving is just too important. And so are you.

Do any of these caregiver types describe you? …

  • Parenting your parents

  • Caring for spouse or significant other

  • Caught in the middle (Caring for a parent while caring for a child)

  • Caregiving long distance

  • The manly caregiver

  • Caring for someone with dementia

…Then contact me for a complimentary consultation and let’s explore how I might support you.

“During my caregiving and early grieving through my husband’s illness and subsequent passing, I found Curtis to be a very reassuring presence.  He had a relaxed and light manner that created a quick comfort level which enabled me to open up during conversations. I could acknowledge and accept the depth of my feelings yet not get lost in them.  I was always left feeling that I could get through this difficult period.”
